Total Quality Management (TQM) is a system of management that focuses on quality and continuous improvement. It is a set of principles and practices that can have a beneficial effect on organizational and employee development. By making all employees focus on quality management and continuous improvement, companies can establish and defend cultural values that generate long-term success for both customers and the organization. This study focuses mainly on the implementation of TQM in Indian industries and on studying its influence on organizational performance.
The data used for this study was a combination of primary and secondary data and focused on examining the scope of implementation of TQM in industries in India. It was found that there is no such difference in TQM literacy between the two groups and that the elements of the TQM are positively related to the performance factors of Indian organizations.
The study encourages managers of manufacturing companies in Ethiopia to use a reliable and valid framework of TQM practices to achieve better operational performance results.
